We're looking for an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to join our team and drive profitable growth across an established customer portfolio. If you're a relationship-focused sales professional who enjoys identifying opportunities, developing strategic partnerships and delivering commercial results, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

Reporting to the National Field Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for growing market share by strengthening existing customer relationships and developing new business opportunities. You'll work closely with retailers and internal teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes while executing strategic sales initiatives across your territory.

This role involves travel throughout the state.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow sales, profitability and market share across an established portfolio of retail customers.
Build trusted, long-term relationships with customers by delivering exceptional service and commercial support.
Identify opportunities to increase sales through product ranging, promotional activity and strategic account planning.
Develop and implement customer business plans with measurable objectives.
Identify and convert new business opportunities that complement your existing customer portfolio.
Analyse customer performance, market trends and competitor activity to uncover opportunities for growth.
Deliver engaging product training and sales support to retail partners.
Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Service, Operations and Product teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity and forecasts within SharePoint.
Monitor performance against targets and implement strategies to maximise growth. Identify risks to budget achievement and implement recovery plans.

About you

You'll be a commercially minded sales professional who enjoys building long-term customer relationships and identifying opportunities to grow business

You'll also bring:

Proven success in territory management, account management or business development within consumer goods, retail or a related industry.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Power BI, with the ability to maintain accurate customer records and reporting.
Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to effectively plan and manage a structured customer call cycle.
The ability to identify customer needs, secure productive appointments and confidently ask for and close sales opportunities.
Sound commercial acumen, with the ability to negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes and identify opportunities to grow sales and profitability.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a customer-first approach.
A self-motivated, results-driven mindset and the ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to the broader team.
Experience within the bedding, furniture or home furnishings industry will be highly regarded but is not essential.
