Full Job Description

Come and join Koorana in this exciting part time role as an Early Childhood Educator where you will be working in our Start Strong Pathways team running supported playgroups in indoor and outdoor settings across the Bankstown and Canterbury Local Government Areas. This is a part time role, working 30.4 hours per week over four days during school terms only. This role is fixed term until 31 December 2026. This role will report to our Start Strong Pathways Team Leader.

The Role

Early Childhood Educators work in collaboration to plan and provide playgroup sessions under the Start Strong Pathway Program, with age-appropriate play activities that promote early learning, support parents and carers in their parenting role and assist families to establish supportive social connections. They also assist families to make links with a wide range of community supports, including formal prior to school settings such as day care and preschool.

What We’re Looking For

- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Experience working with children and parents and carers in their parenting role.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, prioritise, plan ahead, anticipate risks and problem solve.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally diverse community.
- The ability to effectively collaborate with other professionals and be a team player.
