Role Overview:
The Financial Accountant role will manage Stride's financial statutory and reporting obligations in an accurate, timely and ethical manner. The role will maintain rigorous financial controls to minimise organisational risk, ensure data accuracy, and ensure Stride meets our contractual obligations, and will supervise and support the Accounts Officer role.
Key responsibilities: Responsible for supporting the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of Stride's financial accounting, reporting and compliance obligations by:

Ensuring regulatory compliance

Leading the financial reporting processes whilst also providing advice and support to leaders and non-financial managers within Stride
-
Undertaking financial analysis including variance identification and a solution focus

Driving process within the organisation to ensure compliance with all financial reporting and compliance obligations
Your skills and qualifications will include:
-
At least 5 years' experience in an accounting role in a not for profit or public sector agency, particularly in grants accounting
-
Relevant tertiary qualifications (essential), and have completed, be working toward or be willing to undertake study toward CPA or CA certification (desirable)

Well-developed skills in problem solving, reporting and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
-
A strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, particularly in relation to compliance and reporting obligations in an NFP environment, and a thorough knowledge of ACNC regulations to manage tiered reporting obligations etc

Extensive experience in financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, reconciliations and acquittals

Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWCC

Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
