Position Overview

This role focuses on the high-fidelity direct implementation of evidence-based Behaviour Support Plans for NDIS participants.

The position is designed for an experienced professional who possesses the technical skills to implement complex strategies and regulated restrictive practices while actively working toward being assessed as "suitable" by the NDIS Commissioner. You will act as a primary clinical link between the participant’s daily support environment and the NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner.

Roles and Responsibilities

Lead the direct delivery of evidence-based, person-centred, and proactive strategies outlined in existing interim and comprehensive BSPs.
Take primary responsibility for the collection of raw data to assist suitable practitioners in conducting Functional Behavioural Assessments and plan reviews.
Monitor environments for triggers and ensure that any use of a regulated restrictive practice is strictly in accordance with the BSP.
Work closely with participants, families, and support networks to ensure strategies are implemented consistently across all settings.
Ensure all instances of RRP use are recorded accurately and that any unauthorized uses are reported as reportable incidents to the NDIS Commission within required timeframes.
Assist practitioners in gathering background information and identifying key stakeholders for upcoming assessments.

Mandatory Qualifications & Competencies:

Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, or currently completing a tertiary degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related allied health field.
Completion of the mandatory NDIS Worker Orientation Program and a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Completion of a comprehensive 40-hour foundation course in ABA or PBS

Demonstrated clinical proficiency through a competency-based assessment focused on the implementation of individualised behaviour support plans and non-aversive strategies for individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities
