Full Job Description

We have a permanent part-time position as a Cleaning Assistant primarily in Aged Care for 1 x 8hr shift per week in the Support Services Department.

East Grampians Health Services success is underpinned by the work of our support services based across both Ararat and Willaura campuses. These include kitchen and food services, cleaning, supply, building and environmental maintenance. Additionally, EGHS operates and maintains its own café (Café Pyrenees) available to all staff, patients, visitors and the wider community. Each of these program areas are vital to ensuring the safe, efficient and welcoming environment of EGHS.

About The Role

Duties involved for this position include:

To provide and maintain a high-quality standard of cleanliness, hygienic and safe environment within all areas of the Health Service under the Victorian Health facilities cleaning standards
Ensure that all patients, clients, visitors and staff are treated with respect, dignity and courtesy in an environment that is free from harassment and discrimination
Work across the full spectrum of health care services and relate positively to a wide range of people
Perform all delegated duties in a timely and efficient manner
Maintaining an adequate standard of documentation for task completion
Participate in the food service to patients and the removal of meal trays / food after completion
Participate in the cleaning of patients / resident’s rooms and clinical areas
Undertake all duties as described in the relevant work schedules
Follow infectious control guidelines

This position will work in all areas of the Health Service and there will be provision for extra shifts to cover Annual Leave / Sick Leave.
