The Role

To perform medical imaging procedures and be responsible for the production and accurate archiving of diagnostic images under the direction of department and section managers;

To ensure the safety of patients and provide high quality patient care.
To work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a 24/7 rotating roster with strong and effective communication skills;
To work with independent initiative, undertake continuing professional development and maintain competency in all clinical tasks.

Selection Criteria

Hold a degree in Medical Radiation Science or equivalent,

Hold a NSW EPA Radiation Licence to operate radiation apparatus and registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with AHPRA

Demonstrated ability and experience to perform radiographic examinations in a wide range of modality areas including general, theatre, mobiles.

Willingness to participate in a rotating 24/7 roster as part of a multidisciplinary team & availability Monday to Friday including day, evening and night shifts.

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with experience or knowledge in utilising health related computer applications

Ability to work with a team and independently with the ability to organise workload to facilitate high patient throughput.

A knowledge of WHS and radiation protection practices.

Proven ability to work accurately and pay attention to detail.
