Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in a busy café. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys creating high-quality food, leading a team, and maintaining high kitchen standards.

About the Role

As our Head Chef, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, ensuring consistent food quality, efficient service, and compliance with food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the kitchen team.
Develop and maintain a high-quality menu.
Prepare and cook food to a consistently high standard.
Manage food ordering, stock control, and inventory.
Minimise food waste and control kitchen costs.
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen.
Work closely with the café management team to improve operations and customer satisfaction.

About You

Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Experience managing food costs and kitchen operations.
Sound knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Creative, reliable, and passionate about quality food.
