HelloDR Blackstone is a busy, welcoming medical centre at 1/12 Hill Street, Blackstone, in the heart of Ipswich, open 7 days a week. It is a modern, purpose-built medical centre delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to the Ipswich community. Under one roof we bring together general practice, allied health, onsite Mater Pathology and Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME) services - with dental, radiology and cosmetic services coming soon. Backed by the RNMC group, we're a growing, community-focused, bulk-billing-friendly practice.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a friendly, organised, and proactive Medical Receptionist to join our team.

As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming patient experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of the clinic.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Process Medicare, bulk billing and private payments accurately
Manage patient records and appointment scheduling using our clinic software
Liaise between patients, GPs, nurses and allied health staff to keep the day running smoothly
Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out for a busy, multi-service clinic

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who is passionate about patient care and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

You will ideally have:

Previous experience in medical reception or a similar customer service role
Knowledge of Best Practice software (highly regarded)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
Professional presentation and a patient-focused attitude
Basic knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office systems
Key requirement: flexibility to work closing shifts and weekends as part of our extended 7-day roster
