Under one roof we bring together general practice, allied health, onsite Mater Pathology and Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME) services - with dental, radiology and cosmetic services coming soon. ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a friendly, organised, and proactive Medical Receptionist to join our team.
As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming patient experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of the clinic.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process Medicare, bulk billing and private payments accurately
- Manage patient records and appointment scheduling using our clinic software
- Liaise between patients, GPs, nurses and allied health staff to keep the day running smoothly
- Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out for a busy, multi-service clinic
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone who is passionate about patient care and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in medical reception or a similar customer service role
- Knowledge of Best Practice software (highly regarded)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
- Professional presentation and a patient-focused attitude
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office systems
- Key requirement: flexibility to work closing shifts and weekends as part of our extended 7-day roster
