Role Description

The role combines ICT engineering, system administration, and technical support skills to ensure the reliability, and performance of business-critical systems.

Working closely with the ICT Team Lead, the successful candidate will contribute to the implementation of ICT solutions, maintain operational environments, provide technical support, and deliver high-quality services and continuous improvement initiatives.

Core Duties:

Design, implement and maintain ICT engineering solutions that support operational and business requirements.
Deliver ICT projects and assigned technical tasks within agreed schedules and budgets.
Provide Level 3 Help Desk support in accordance with Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements, including:
- Investigating, troubleshooting and resolving incidents.
- Responding to and fulfilling service requests.
- Escalating issues where required and ensuring effective resolution.
Monitor, test and deploy security patches to maintain system security and compliance.
Deploy software builds and releases across development, testing and production environments.
Maintain and support ICT infrastructure and associated support environments.
Perform upgrades and maintenance of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software products.
Develop, update and maintain accurate ICT design documentation, procedures and knowledge articles.
Liaise with technology vendors and service providers to investigate and resolve technical issues.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customer and end users.
Identify opportunities for and contribute to continuous process and service improvement initiatives.
Occasionally participating in planned after-hours activities when required, including weekends, early mornings or evenings.

About YOU

Australian citizenship and currently hold minimum Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance.
A degree in ICT/ Engineering.
3-4 years of demonstrated experience in ICT engineering roles
Experience in implementing ICT infrastructure and system solutions.
Proven ability to deliver technical projects and tasks within defined timelines and budgets.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with experience providing Level 3 support in a service management environment.
Experience with software deployment eg. MCM, system maintenance and release management processes.
Knowledge of security patch management and system hardening practices.
Experience supporting and upgrading Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications.
Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation to a high standard.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with technical teams, vendors and end users.
Demonstrated commitment to customer service and continuous improvement.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
