What you’ll do:
As Financial Controller, you will lead the finance function for a portfolio of assets, providing financial stewardship, strategic business partnering and governance over Joint Venture obligations. You will manage the finance relationship with JV partners, ensure the integrity of financial reporting and deliver insightful analysis that drives confident business decisions. You will lead and develop a team of finance professionals, work closely with business leaders to drive financial performance, compliance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.

Maintain accountabilities for all financial activities across the asset portfolio, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, forecasting and month-end close processes.

Provide financial leadership and commercial advice to senior stakeholders on cost management, expenditure decisions and business performance.

Lead the preparation and delivery of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and monthly performance reporting.

Drive financial analysis, business case reviews and scenario modelling to support investment and operational decisions.

Build and maintain strong relationships with Joint Venture partners and internal stakeholders.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reporting and financial outcomes.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, governance frameworks, internal controls and regulatory requirements.
What you’ll bring
-
Degree qualification in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
-
CA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
-
10+ years' experience in finance, accounting or financial control roles, ideally within Oil & Gas, Energy, Resources or a similarly complex industry.

Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting requirements.

Demonstrated experience leading finance teams and influencing senior stakeholders.

Experience managing budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and performance reporting processes.

Joint Venture accounting and reporting experience will be highly regarded.

Advanced analytical, financial modelling and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to translate financial information into clear business insights.

Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems preferred.
