What we're looking for

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

Ability to work well as both a leader and a member of a multi-disciplinary team and in collaboration with other internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to coordinate and provide complex care of individuals with sexually transmissible infections, blood borne viruses and reproductive needs.
Well-developed skills in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating sexual health programs utilising a range of population level approaches and initiating, coordinating and/or contributing to sexual health research.
Demonstrated understanding of culture and communication protocols, the needs and health outcomes relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and other Culturally and Linguistically Diverse populations - both staff and health consumers.
Demonstrated high level oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate equitable and effective sexual health, reproductive health & blood born virus programs.

Mandatory Requirements

Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a specialist Sexual Health Medicine Physician (FAChSHM) or General Practitioner (FRACGP/FACRRM). Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
