In this role, you'll:
Lead the planning and delivery of complex (Road and/or Active Transport) infrastructure projects that help shape communities across NSW.
Working within a collaborative and high-performing environment, you will manage projects from strategic development through to delivery readiness, which includes the concept phase, ensuring outcomes are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards while building strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
More specifically you will:
- Lead the development of infrastructure projects, ensuring scope, budget, schedule and quality objectives are achieved.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams delivering complex infrastructure projects, fostering a culture of safety, innovation and delivery excellence
- Procure and manage contracts, including administration, compliance and performance monitoring.
- Obtain planning approval and complete environmental assessment for infrastructure projects.
- Develop project briefs, business cases, concept and detailed designs, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate consultants, contractors and stakeholders to successfully deliver project outcomes.
- Manage stakeholder engagement activities and maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Report on project performance, manage risks and resolve issues to keep projects on track.
- Ensure compliance with work health and safety, environmental, quality and risk management requirements.
- Prepare high-quality project reports, cost estimates and contract documentation to support decision-making and approvals.
- Support program reviews and manage variations, claims and extensions as required.
- Champion a collaborative, customer-focused and values-driven culture across project teams.

About you
You are an experienced project manager with a proven track record of developing major infrastructure or similarly complex projects.
You combine strong technical and commercial acumen with excellent stakeholder management skills, enabling you to navigate competing priorities, influence outcomes and drive successful project delivery.
You are a proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience managing major infrastructure or complex capital works projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, contract administration and environmental assessment.
- Experience applying quality management, work health and safety and environmental risk management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes and budgets.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on practical solutions.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, collaboration and relationship management.
- Ability to lead, coach and support project team members to achieve high performance outcomes.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering / project management and/or equivalent professional experience.
- Current Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel when required.
