Ventia is seeking an experienced Field Area Manager to join our Telecommunications team supporting the ARCW contract in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of major telecommunications infrastructure projects, managing crews and subcontractors while playing a key role in expanding and maintaining critical network infrastructure.

About the Role

As a Field Area Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing field operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget while leading internal crews and subcontractors.

Additionally, you'll:

Manage daily field operations and coordinate resources to achieve project milestones
Lead and promote a strong safety culture through toolbox talks, risk assessments and compliance activities
Monitor subcontractor and workforce performance to ensure quality, productivity and project outcomes are achieved
Develop work schedules and allocate labour, equipment and materials effectively
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders
Track project progress, report on site activities and manage variations and as-built documentation

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Network Integrity – Asset Relocation Space
Proven experience managing subcontractors and field crews within a civil construction or telecommunications environment
Strong understanding of Telstra networks, DBORs, Netmaps, CMARTS, LAANS, DBYD plans and telecommunications construction standards
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills
A strong commitment to safety, quality and operational excellence, with the flexibility to travel and work remotely when required
