The Cloud System Integrator is responsible for the end-to-end integration, configuration, verification and handover of Ericsson cloud infrastructure solutions (SDI, CEE, CCD and CNIS) into customer environments. The role ensures that delivered systems are implemented according to approved architectures, Ericsson reference solutions and customer requirements, with a strong focus on reliability, performance and operational readiness.
The role is hands-on and execution-focused, working across multiple parallel cloud build, expansion, migration and lifecycle management projects, collaborating closely with Solution Architects, product units and customer technical teams.
System Integration and Implementation
-
Plan and execute end-to-end integration of Ericsson SDI, CEE, CCD and CNIS solutions according to approved solution designs and implementation plans.
-
Install, configure and validate compute, storage, networking, security and management components across cloud infrastructure PODs and sites.
-
Implement high-level and low-level design artefacts (HLD, LLD, configuration templates, Method of Procedure (MoP)) into working, tested environments.
-
Integrate VNFs and CNFs (for example 5G Core, IMS, Packet Core, Cloud RAN) on Ericsson cloud infrastructure, ensuring correct onboarding, lifecycle management and performance.
-
Conduct functional, non-functional and integration testing, capturing and resolving defects and deviations in collaboration with design and product teams.
Delivery, Governance and Quality
-
Act as the primary technical integrator in delivery projects, ensuring on-time, high-quality execution of build, integration, migration and acceptance activities.
-
Prepare and maintain integration plans, MoPs, rollback procedures and configuration baselines in line with agreed architecture and customer standards.
-
Support troubleshooting and complex problem resolution during build, test, acceptance and early operation phases to meet performance, stability and SLA expectations.
-
Provide accurate and timely progress reporting, risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies to project managers and technical leads.
-
Contribute to continuous improvement of reusable integration patterns, scripts, templates and deployment accelerators for CNIS and NFVI projects.
Standards, Compliance and Security
-
Implement solutions in compliance with Ericsson security guidelines, CNIS Security Overview and customer-specific security and regulatory requirements.
-
Apply best practices for high availability, disaster recovery, backup and restore, and data protection in line with solution design and customer policies.
-
Promote and adopt automation, infrastructure-as-code and standardized O&M models for deployment and lifecycle management (for example using Ansible, Helm, CI/CD pipelines).
-
Ensure delivered configurations, documentation and handover materials are complete, accurate and align with Ericsson and customer audit requirements.
Collaboration, Knowledge Sharing and Continuous Improvement
-
Work closely with Solution Architects to refine designs based on integration feedback, constraints and findings from lab and field deployments.
-
Act as a subject matter expert in cloud integration topics for Ericsson SDI, CEE, CCD and CNIS, supporting and mentoring other integration engineers in the team.
-
Provide structured field feedback to product units and portfolio teams on product behaviour, defects and feature gaps, contributing to roadmap evolution.
-
Contribute to communities of practice, reference integration guides, best-practice documentation and internal knowledge sharing sessions.
Required Experience and Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent practical experience.
-
7+ years of experience in telecom, IT or cloud infrastructure, with at least 4+ years in hands-on system integration, deployment or implementation roles.
-
Proven experience integrating and delivering large-scale telco cloud or NFVI/CNIS-based solutions in operator environments (preferably multi-vendor).
-
Hands-on experience with Ericsson SDI, CCD, CEE and CNIS, or strong experience with equivalent telco cloud stacks with readiness to ramp up quickly.
-
Experience working in project-based delivery environments, including interaction with customers, partners and cross-functional internal teams.
Technical Skills
-
The Cloud System Integrator is expected to have solid, practical knowledge in the following areas:
-
Ericsson Telco Cloud Portfolio
-
Good understanding of Ericsson Software Defined Infrastructure (SDI) concepts (PODs, vPODs, data/control fabrics, computer systems) and their deployment considerations.

Familiarity with Ericsson CNIS solution architecture, documentation set and operational model.
-
Networking and Security
-
Solid grasp of IP networking, routing, VLANs, load balancing, VPNs, security zones and data centre network design in cloud/NFVI contexts.
-
Experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls, security groups, certificates and secure connectivity between network functions and management domains.
-
Storage and Platform Technologies
-
Experience with storage concepts and solutions relevant to CNIS (for example Ceph, NetApp, VxSDS or equivalent), including performance and resilience tuning.
-
Good understanding of Linux, virtualization (for example KVM, VMware) and container technologies (for example Docker, Kubernetes) and their operational tooling.
-
Orchestration, Automation and Tooling
-
Familiarity with orchestration and lifecycle management tools such as Ericsson Orchestrator (EO), EVNFM or equivalent NFV MANO/orchestrators.
