About the Role
Reporting to the Site Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in keeping our production facility running safely and efficiently. You’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical systems and equipment across the site.

Patties Perth is a 24 hour food manufacturing facility, so this role requires flexibility to work rotational shifts across day, afternoon, and night shift patterns to support operational requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in machinery,
Perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment and systems reliable and reduce breakdowns.
Install and upgrade mechanical systems of machinery
Ensure safety and compliance with mechanical codes, standards, and workplace health & safety.
Document and report maintenance activities including repairs, inspections, and system updates.

About You
You’re a trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter with previous experience in a similar maintenance role, ideally within food manufacturing or FMCG environments.

You thrive in fast-paced settings, enjoy solving problems, and take pride in keeping operations running smoothly.

Please note: You must have full Australian working rights, as sponsorship is not available for this position.

To be successful, you will bring:

Experience with mechanical installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial or food processing equipment
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across complex machinery and systems to meet production targets.
Experience performing both breakdown response and preventive maintenance, including routine facility upkeep.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, multitasking, and communication skills.
A proactive mindset with the ability to identify and implement improvements in maintenance practices and plant performance.
Computer literacy with experience using maintenance systems (e.g., MEX).
Sound understanding of WHS principles and safety compliance
