Area Coordinator (NDIS – Supported Independent Living)
Location: Cranbourne VIC (Office-based with regular on-site visits)
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (0.8 FTE)

We specialise in Supported Independent Living (SIL) services, with a focus on dignity, empowerment, and holistic wellbeing. Our aim is to ensure each participant receives tailored support that aligns with their goals and enables them to live independently within their community.

About the Role
The Area Coordinator plays a key leadership and coordination role in the delivery of Supported Independent Living (SIL) services across a defined area. This position is responsible for ensuring high standards of participant care, particularly for individuals with complex medical, behavioural, or mental health needs.

The role involves providing clinical oversight where appropriate, mentoring Team Leaders, and supporting frontline staff to deliver safe, consistent, and person-centred care. The Area Coordinator also acts as a central liaison between staff, families, allied health professionals, and internal leadership, ensuring effective communication and coordination of supports.

A strong focus of this role is maintaining service quality, supporting staff development, and ensuring all supports are delivered in line with NDIS Practice Standards, individual care plans, and organisational policies.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and monitor participant care, particularly for those with complex needs
Provide clinical oversight where qualified (RN/EEN)
Attend and coordinate GP, hospital, and specialist appointments as required
Lead and participate in care team meetings with families and professionals
Support and mentor Team Leaders and Support Workers
Manage staff performance and contribute to a positive team culture
Ensure supports align with NDIS goals, care plans, and behaviour support plans
Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and incident records
Work with leadership on service improvements and complex cases

About You
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capability, sound clinical or sector knowledge, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment

Essential Criteria

Nursing qualification (RN or EEN) or related field
Minimum three years’ experience supporting people with complex needs
Experience leading and supporting staff
Knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and person-centred care
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and manage priorities
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, First Aid and CPR
Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle

Highly Desirable

Current AHPRA registration (RN or EEN)
Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
Understanding of clinical documentation and risk management
