Full Job Description

2 positions available

Permanent, full time, paid hourly, $65,000 to $75,000 per annum.
Fruit Growing and Fruit Packing Industry Award.
Three months probation.

Applicants need to be physically fit, hard working, and willing to live in the Manjimup area, working outdoors in all weather conditions. Must have a drivers licence, forklift licence and minimum three years past experience in a similar position.

Horticulture work including:

General farm labouring duties
Orchard work, select picking and packing fruit, checking irrigation, thinning, pruning, weeding.
Performing a range of housekeeping tasks.
Using hand tools, operating tractors and other farm machines to cultivate, fertilise, spray and harvest fruit.
Spraying trees and other plants with chemicals to control weed growth, insects, fungus and diseases.
Irrigating orchard and crops.
Building trellises for fruit.
Loading picked and packed fruit onto trucks.
Using measuring instruments.
Assisting with maintenance of tools and farm machinery, investigating problems, repairs and preventative action.
Record keeping for spraying, fertilising and maintenance.
