- Permanent, full time, paid hourly, $65,000 to $75,000 per annum.
- Fruit Growing and Fruit Packing Industry Award.
- Three months probation.
Applicants need to be physically fit, hard working, and willing to live in the Manjimup area, working outdoors in all weather conditions. Must have a drivers licence, forklift licence and minimum three years past experience in a similar position.
Horticulture work including:
- General farm labouring duties
- Orchard work, select picking and packing fruit, checking irrigation, thinning, pruning, weeding.
- Performing a range of housekeeping tasks.
- Using hand tools, operating tractors and other farm machines to cultivate, fertilise, spray and harvest fruit.
- Spraying trees and other plants with chemicals to control weed growth, insects, fungus and diseases.
- Irrigating orchard and crops.
- Building trellises for fruit.
- Loading picked and packed fruit onto trucks.
- Using measuring instruments.
- Assisting with maintenance of tools and farm machinery, investigating problems, repairs and preventative action.
- Record keeping for spraying, fertilising and maintenance.
