$130,000 to $145,000 inclusive of super.

Our professional services and tailored IT solutions help organisations to optimise, accelerate and transform their IT to increase productivity, reduce costs and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
We are currently on the lookout for a Splunk consultant to leads the design, build and implementation of complex/scalable Splunk infrastructure and monitoring solutions via dashboards.

Responsibilities

Work directly with a variety of clients to gather requirements and understand monitoring systems and business requirements.
Design and document solutions to report and integrate with enterprise systems.
Scope and estimate effort involved in the delivery of Splunk solutions.
Deliver Splunk solutions including install, configuration, data on boarding and creation of knowledge objects and deliver them to the client and / or operations team.
Build integrations and custom solutions using a variety of technologies such as Python scripts and Rest API.
Collaborate with Splunk Peers and Delivery Manager to deliver and lead cross-departmental and small client projects from conception to completion.
Drive resolution of issues identified via application and systems monitoring.
Communicate with key stakeholders on infrastructure, deployments details, etc. associated to project delivery and Business operation teams as required.
Provide skilled guidance and mentoring for Splunk architecture designs, solution reviews and code review processes.

Qualification and Skills

Bachelor of Information Technology or similar qualification preferred
3+ years’ experience within an Enterprise-level Splunk environment
Demonstrated experience and ability to building Splunk Solutions
Expert in working with large data sets
Team Orientated, Stakeholder Management, Project Delivery
Advanced knowledge of integration with Enterprise level systems
Experience with web servers and database platforms
Experience with building dashboards or other User interfaces
Experience in creating technical documentation
Familiarity with use of code repositories such as GIT or Bitbucket
Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements
Splunk Administration certification

Nice to have:

Splunk Architect certification
Security specific certification and qualifications
Cloud technology certifications
Enthusiastic about collaborating with software developers to architect solutions and improve existing processes and systems
Experience with APM monitoring tools and with Enterprise Security systems or a SIEM tool
Experienced working in Agile environments and practicing Continuous Deployment and Integration techniques
Independently able to identify problem areas and create fitting solutions
Willing to learn new technologies
