In this role, you'll:
As Delivery Lead, you will be accountable for the delivery of all technical IT projects across the organisation, spanning both customer-facing platforms and regulatory/compliance systems.
Your portfolios will include:
Regulatory Portfolio:
Road safety regulation initiatives
Compliance and regulatory technology systems
Asset management, insights and business platforms
Leadership of 5 direct reports
Customer Portfolio:
Customer platforms and digital services
Ticketing and Opal-related initiatives
Motorways, customer strategy and experience programs
Leadership of 3 direct reports
You will oversee large-scale technology programs that support critical services including licensing, vehicle registration systems, customer platforms and ministerial and regulatory obligations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex technology programs and portfolios
Build and embed a strong culture within a newly formed delivery function
Establish governance frameworks that promote accountability and delivery excellence
Define portfolio priorities and ensure clear alignment across teams
Manage critical dependencies, risks, budgets, resources and delivery roadmaps
Partner with senior stakeholders to influence decision-making and drive outcomes
Champion continuous improvement, delivery best practice and benefits realisation
Develop and mentor delivery teams, creating opportunities for growth and capability uplift
Promote transparency through clear communication of portfolio plans, progress and outcomes
Recruit, retain and develop high-performing project delivery professionals
Team Leadership
You will inherit an established workforce while also leading future recruitment to strengthen capability across the function.

About you
You are a proven technology delivery leader with significant experience leading large, complex programs within enterprise environments.
You bring:
Extensive experience delivering large-scale technology transformation programs
Strong leadership skills and a track record of building high-performing teams
Experience managing regulatory, compliance or customer-facing technology portfolios
Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing capability
Strong governance, risk, financial and resource management expertise
The ability to navigate complexity, ambiguity and competing priorities
Experience driving organisational change and embedding new ways of working
A strategic mindset coupled with a strong focus on delivery outcomes
Essential Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
Industry-recognised project or program management certification such as:
PMP
PgMP
PRINCE2 Practitioner
PMI-ACP
SAFe
Equivalent certification
