Marketing & Content Coordinator
Feel Good Events | Ferntree Gully, Melbourne VIC
Full Time | $60,000 to $70,000 per year
Looking for your opportunity to turn what you've learnt about marketing into real world experience?
Feel Good Events is looking for an early career marketer who wants to build their skills across social media, content, email, website marketing and customer communications.
You'll need to have completed formal marketing studies and understand the fundamentals of good marketing. Just as importantly, we're looking for someone who's curious, creative, keen to learn and genuinely interested in understanding why customers make the decisions they do.
You don't need years of experience across every marketing platform. You do need good foundations, some evidence that you can create quality work, and the enthusiasm to keep getting better.
Before applying: Please include a short cover letter and follow the application instructions at the bottom of this ad. Applications without a cover letter will not be considered.
About Feel Good Events
Feel Good Events is a Melbourne based event styling and planning company specialising in weddings, parties and corporate events.
We help our clients create the right atmosphere and guest experience through thoughtful styling, layout and event design.
We've spent years developing our positioning, messaging and understanding of the clients we want to attract. We're looking for someone who wants to learn that thinking, understand our customers properly and help us turn it into consistent marketing across our different channels.
The Role
This is a hands-on marketing role where you'll be responsible for helping keep our marketing active, consistent and relevant to the customers we're trying to reach.
You'll work closely with the business owner while taking responsibility for the day to day execution of our marketing.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and scheduling content across our social media channels.
- Turning event photos, videos, blogs and existing ideas into social media content.
- Creating new social content using Canva.
- Writing captions and marketing copy for our different customer groups.
- Creating and sending our weekly email newsletter.
- Designing client-facing brochures, service guides and marketing material in Canva.
- Updating website content, including blogs and service pages.
- Maintaining our marketing content calendar.
- Reviewing basic marketing results to understand what's working and what could be improved.
- Helping keep our brand and messaging consistent across our marketing.
As you develop a stronger understanding of our customers and business, we want you to contribute your own ideas and help us continually improve what we're doing.
What You Already Need
We're not expecting you to arrive knowing everything, but you do need a solid starting point.
We're looking for:
- A completed degree, diploma or recognised qualification in marketing or a closely related field.
- A good understanding of marketing fundamentals.
- Confidence using Canva and an eye for creating clean, professional content.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Good general knowledge of social media and digital marketing.
- Comfortable working with websites and digital marketing platforms. Experience with WordPress is an advantage but not essential.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage your own workload and follow things through.
Previous hands-on marketing experience through employment, internships, freelance work or substantial marketing projects will be highly regarded, but we're more interested in finding someone with strong foundations and potential than simply counting years of experience.
The Person We're Looking For
Skills matter, but we're also looking closely at how you approach your work.
You'll probably be a good fit if you:
- Are genuinely interested in marketing and want to keep developing your skills.
- Want to understand the customer before deciding what to communicate to them.
- Ask questions when you don't understand something.
- Enjoy thinking about why something worked rather than simply moving on to the next task.
- Take responsibility for your work and follow things through.
- Notice things that could be improved and are comfortable suggesting ideas.
- Enjoy creating and have a good eye for how content looks and communicates.
- Are excited by the opportunity to make a visible contribution within a small business.
We'll teach you about Feel Good Events, our customers, our services and the marketing approach we've developed. We're looking for someone who brings the marketing foundations, curiosity and willingness to learn.
Why Join Feel Good Events?

- Full time in the office during the probation period. One day a week from home after probation period.

How To Apply
Please send us your resume and a short cover letter.
To show us you've read the ad, please write:
"I Love Marketing at Feel Good Events"
at the very top of your cover letter.
We don't need a long letter telling us how passionate you are about marketing. Instead, we'd like to learn a little about you through these two questions:
1. Show us something you've created that you're proud of.
It could be a university project, social post, email, campaign, brochure, website content or something you've created in a previous role.
Briefly tell us:
- What was it?
- Who was it for?
- What part did you personally create?
- Why are you proud of it?
Please include a link, screenshot or example where possible.
2. What is one area of marketing you'd really like to become better at over the next two years, and why?
Please answer in your own words. We're not looking for perfectly polished responses. We'd much rather get a genuine sense of who you are, what you've done and what you'd like to learn.
If you're excited about putting your marketing knowledge into practice, developing your skills and making a genuine contribution to a creative small business, we'd love to hear from you.
Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
