Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals are recruiting for a Staff Specialist to complement and enhance the current Neurology department.Two positions available: 0.4FTE until December 2026 and 0.4FTE until July 2027 - both with possibility of extension.

What You'll be doing
Provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a SWSLHD facility under your care. This care will be provided within the clinical privileges granted by the CE on the advice of the SWSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.

1. Current medical practitioner, registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and/or other specialist recognition as provided under the Staff Specialists (State) Award.
2. Demonstrated current clinical practice of a high standard and ability to adapt clinical practice inaccordance with contemporary evidence based best practice.
3. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
4. Demonstrated participation in teaching and training at undergraduate and/or post graduate level,including supervision of junior medical staff.
5. Demonstrated commitment to continuing self-education and development, including evidence ofparticipation in continuing medical education/ continuing professional development.
6. Demonstrated ability to comply with the service objectives of a public health organisation, including theprovision of services to the local community, effective utilisation of resources, and preparedness toparticipate in the provision of health services at an LHD level.
7. Preparedness to participate in a hospital, service or LHD on-call roster.
8. Evidence of ability to work cooperatively with other staff and practitioners and in a multidisciplinary health care team.
