What The Role Entails
As a Registered Midwife within the POPPIE MAPS program, you will provide continuity of care to women and families throughout their maternity journey, with a particular focus on supporting priority populations and improving access to healthcare services.

Deliver antenatal and postnatal care through a relationship-based model that supports positive health outcomes for women, babies and families.

Build trusted partnerships with women and their families, providing culturally responsive, woman-centred care tailored to individual needs.

Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, community services and external stakeholders to ensure seamless support throughout the care journey.

Advocate for equitable access to maternity services and help connect women with appropriate health and community resources.

Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and service development activities that enhance maternity care outcomes across the community.

Are You the Right Fit?
You are a compassionate and dedicated Registered Midwife who is passionate about supporting women and families through their pregnancy, birth and postnatal journey. You thrive in both autonomous and collaborative environments and are committed to delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care.

Current unrestricted registration as a Midwife with AHPRA, with the flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays and willingness to travel as required.

Demonstrated experience providing antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care, with SAFE START knowledge desirable.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams and maintaining professional and ethical boundaries.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build trusting relationships with women, families and colleagues.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and active participation in team meetings, education opportunities and service initiatives.
