As a Cloud Application & Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining secure cloud-based applications and infrastructure. This role ensures that cloud environments are resilient, scalable and compliant with industry security standards.

You will collaborate with development, operations and cybersecurity teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle and cloud architecture.

Description

Design and deploy secure cloud applications
Implement and manage cloud security controls including identity and access management, encryption and network security.
Monitor cloud infrastructure for security threats and respond to incidents
Collaborate with cross functional teams to embed security

Minimum Qualifications

Extensive experience with cloud platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Familiarity with cloud-native storage and database services
Proven experience with serverless and container security
You will ideally hold relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Security. Azure Security Engineer Associate, or equivalent
Ability to obtain/maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
Ability to work in a Hybrid environment (3days in office/site and 2 days flexible)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience within the Defence Industry
Bachelors or Diploma in relevant IT Field or similar
