TRUCK/HEAVY VEHICLE MECHANICS / FITTERS - BDSA ROMA

BDS Mechanical is currently seeking qualified Truck and Diesel Mechanics, along with experienced Fitters, to join our growing Roma team in full-time, permanent roles. This is an outstanding opportunity to become part of a respected and established organisation known for its commitment to employee development, job security, and high-quality service delivery.

BDS Mechanical Repairs Aus is a dynamic and fast-growing company providing comprehensive mechanical, auto-electrical, and welding services across Queensland and Western Australia. Supported by fully equipped workshop facilities and a fleet of more than 160 mobile service units, we deliver dependable, high-quality solutions across a service region spanning over 600,000 km².

The successful candidates will possess the following:

Relevant trade qualification
Diagnostic experience
Strong fault-finding skills
Experience with trucks and trailers
Heavy earthmoving experience (advantageous)
Good communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Truck licence (preferred)
Additional skills, experience, tickets, and licences will be highly regarded

Your duties will include:

Diesel engine diagnostics & repair, major and minor rebuilds
General Repairs/maintenance works – Trucks & Trailers/4×4’s
Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems
Checking vehicle lighting systems
Test driving vehicles to gauge performance
Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
