About Us

Pressure Dynamics is an engineering and services contractor that specialises in hydraulic and lifting solutions. We provide high-quality, innovative solutions and products to global leaders in the Oil & Gas, Mining & Infrastructure, Marine, Defence, Power Generation, and Industrial sectors.

The role

We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Design Engineer to join our team based at Bibra Lake, WA. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in the design, development, and delivery of high-quality hydraulic engineering solutions across a diverse range of projects.

This role offers the opportunity to work across the full engineering lifecycle — from front-end engineering and tender support through to detailed design and delivery — while collaborating closely with project, workshop, and site teams. Occasional travel to client offices, production facilities, and project sites may be required.

Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver hydraulic, mechanical, and structural systems in line with company, client, and regulatory requirements
Produce high-quality 3D models, engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documentation
Collaborate with Project Managers, Operations, Workshop, and Site teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions
Support FEED studies, scope definition, and cost estimates for tender submissions
Participate in risk assessments and design hazard studies (e.g. HAZOPs, FMEAs)
Ensure engineering deliverables meet Pressure Dynamics’ safety, quality, and compliance standards
Identify and resolve design, process, or system non-conformances
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering systems and design methodologies
Promote a strong HSE culture and comply with all safety, quality, and environmental systems

Qualifications & Experience

Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering with relevant industry experience
Experience in hydraulic/fluid power system design in resources sector.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems engineering and hydraulic components
Experience in mechanical and structural equipment design
Working knowledge of basic electrical principles
Proficiency in 2D and/or 3D drafting using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Experience supporting FEED, tendering, and multidisciplinary engineering projects
Ability to liaise effectively with clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
High level of computer literacy, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
ERP system experience (e.g. SAP, Navision, Ostendo) is desirable
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy
Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
