What you’ll do :
We are seeking a commercially minded Marketplace Customer and Trade Plan Manager to lead and execute our digital trade strategy, accelerating growth for Everyday Market while optimizing the customer journey and overall marketplace performance. Facing off against major competitors like Amazon and eBay, you will act as a digital-first merchant, pulling pricing, ranging, and promotional levers to drive conversion, customer acquisition, and GTV. In this role, you will partner closely with seller teams and leverage our digital capabilities to deliver a seamless, market-leading online shopping experience.
Align the marketplace calendar with major seasonal events and food moments like Christmas, Easter, and back-to-school.
Partner with Brand and Marketing to deploy targeted digital touchpoints when customer intent spikes.
Monitor competitors to execute daily defensive pricing and promotional tactics.
Identify competitor gaps in the online grocery space and capitalize on them through exclusive digital ranges.
Curate and optimise the online catalog to boost conversion with dynamic bundling like "Shop the Recipe."
Design and evaluate digital promotions, including flash sales and personalised coupons, to grow average basket size.
Track daily sales, margins, markdowns, and campaign profitability to ensure commercial targets are met.
Utilise CMS, PIM, and digital analytics tools daily to refine the customer journey and optimize overall platform performance.
What you’ll bring :
5+ years of digital e-commerce experience, with at least 4 years focused on trading, digital merchandising, or commercial planning in FMCG/Grocery.Proven ability to manage high-volume promotional calendars that consistently drive revenue and margin growth.
Track record of building commercial strategies to compete directly against major marketplaces (Amazon, eBay) and hard discounters.
Strong expertise in digital content optimization, product page layout, and digital shelf management to maximize conversion.
Deep commercial acumen with full working knowledge of retail math, margins, markdowns, and campaign profitability.
Hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms, CMS, PIM systems, and digital analytics tools.
Strategic mindset with the capability to plan seasonal calendars 3+ months ahead while adapting to sudden market shifts.
Practical understanding of user experience principles to ensure promotions align with a seamless online customer journey.
