Purpose
We're looking for an IT Support to be the on-the-ground technical backbone for our operations, working closely with our Sydney-based partner. This role sits at the intersection of day-to-day IT support, tooling administration, and workflow building, keeping our team connected, unblocked, and set up to move fast as we scale.
The ideal candidate is a proactive builder who doesn't wait to be told what to fix. You're comfortable owning the Microsoft 365 environment, building dashboards in Jira or Monday.com, and being the first responder when something breaks, including on short notice, when it matters most.
It's a chance to build real ownership over a function from the ground up, with a clear path from a freelance engagement into a full-time seat on the team.
You could be a great fit if...
You're an Australian citizen who wants to be the go-to IT person for a fast-scaling team
You have 2-3 years of experience in IT support, systems admin, or ops, and you're hungry to own more than a ticket queue
You live inside Microsoft 365 Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, and can set it up in your sleep
You've built dashboards or workflows in Jira or Monday.com, and get a genuine kick out of a clean, well-organized board
You spot a broken process and can't help fixing it, even when nobody asked
You're comfortable being reachable for the occasional urgent fire, because you know that's part of the job
You like the idea of starting as a freelancer and growing into a full-time role as the relationship proves itself
Requirements
Australian citizenship
2-3 years of relevant IT support or systems administration experience
Strong hands-on knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive), including user setup, permissions, and configuration
Experience with Jira or Monday.com, especially building dashboards and board structures
Ability to design and maintain scalable workflows and board structures, not just execute instructions handed to you
Proven ability to triage and resolve IT issues across a distributed or remote team
Experience managing SaaS subscriptions, user access, and permissions across multiple platforms
Strong documentation habits: you keep tools, access protocols, and processes written down and current, not just in your head
Clear written and verbal communication; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical teammates
Reliable availability for urgent, time-sensitive IT issues, not just scheduled hours
Openness to transitioning from a freelance engagement into a full-time role over time
Bonus Points
Based in Sydney
Exposure to marketing technology stacks, analytics tools, CRM platforms, ad management tools
Understanding of API-based integrations between SaaS platforms
Familiarity with performance marketing tools or concepts, or e-commerce analytics platforms like Polar Analytics or Triple Whale
Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify or Amazon Seller Central
Basic scripting or automation experience (Zapier, Make, Power Automate)
Understanding of IT security basics, SSO, 2FA, access hygiene or a genuine passion for cybersecurity
Experience in an agency, DTC brand, or multi-brand operating environment
Experience supporting distributed or remote teams across time zones
Open to eventually relocating to Abu Dhabi
You probably shouldn't apply if...
You're only interested in a strictly freelance arrangement with no path to full-time
You need every task fully scoped before you can start, rather than setting up systems from scratch
You're unreachable outside a fixed 9-to-5 window when something urgent comes up
You'd rather wait for direction than jump in and build the fix yourself
Documentation feels like an afterthought to you rather than a habit you maintain by default
You're not comfortable troubleshooting across a distributed team or explaining technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
