We are looking for a commercially minded Senior Human Resources Business Partner to lead strategic and operational HR support across Australia for Sandvik Rock Processing Australia.

Reporting to the Human Resources Director – Screening Solutions Division, this role will translate divisional people priorities into practical business outcomes while providing direct, hands-on HR support to operational leaders and sites.

As a senior practitioner and people leader, you will lead two HR Business Partners and support consistent, high-quality HR delivery across Sales Area Oceania, Product Offering, Engineering and Common Functions. You will also be the primary HR partner for Operations, working closely with leaders on workforce planning, organisational design, capability, talent, employee relations, industrial relations, engagement, performance and change.

Key Responsibilities

Lead HR business partnering across Australia, ensuring consistent, high-quality support to leaders and employees.
Partner with operational and functional leaders to deliver workforce planning, organisational design, talent, engagement and capability initiatives.
Coach and influence leaders to strengthen people management capability and support business performance.
Lead talent and succession planning activities, supporting workforce capability and future readiness.
Provide expert advice on employee relations, industrial relations and employment legislation, including complex workplace matters.
Lead enterprise agreement bargaining, union engagement, employee representative engagement and formal consultation processes across Australia.
Guide and oversee complex grievances, disciplinary matters, disputes, workplace investigations, performance matters and employment-related risk.
Represent Sandvik in Fair Work Commission conciliations and other relevant workplace relations matters.
Support organisational change, restructures and business transformation initiatives.
Lead and develop two HR Business Partners, ensuring effective delivery across assigned portfolios.

About You

You are an experienced HR leader who brings sound judgement, commercial awareness and a practical, hands-on approach. You build trusted relationships, influence senior stakeholders and thrive in complex operational environments.

To be successful, you will ideally bring:

Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Employment Law, Business or a related discipline.
Significant HR business partnering experience in a complex, multi-site or operational environment.
Experience leading, coaching and developing HR professionals.
Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Modern Awards and industrial relations practices, with demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations and organisational change.
Experience with enterprise agreement bargaining and representing the organisation in matters before the Fair Work Commission.
Strong commercial acumen, influencing skills and the ability to translate business priorities into people outcomes.
Experience in workforce planning, talent management and succession planning.
Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel regularly to operational sites across Australia.
