About The Role

We are looking for a junior network engineer to assist in the daily support, maintenance, and monitoring of our corporate network infrastructure. You will work closely with senior engineers to troubleshoot issues, implement network changes, and ensure the stability and security of our systems.

Since this position is situated within a warehouse setting, you will be introduced to automation systems and RF technologies.

Key responsibilities

Provide day-to-day operational support for the local and wide area network (LAN/WAN).
Assist in the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of Aruba switches and Aruba access points.
Support the management of Fortinet firewalls, including basic policy and rule set configuration.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues for end-users, covering wired, wireless, and VPN access.
Monitor network performance and security events, escalating to senior engineers as required.
Assist with network projects, including hardware refreshes, office setups, and system upgrades.
Maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams and device configurations.
Assist with managing and supporting RF devices via Soti.

To be successful you will have

A solid understanding of core networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and IP subnetting).
Demonstrable knowledge or hands-on experience with Aruba networking hardware (switches and access points).
Familiarity with the concepts and basic administration of next-generation firewalls, specifically Fortinet FortiGate.
Knowledge of Zabbix and Netbox.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
A strong desire to learn and a passion for network technology.

Qualifications

Industry certifications such as CCNA, Aruba ClearPass, Aruba Certified Associate (ACA), or Fortinet NSE 1-3.
Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience in SOTI MDM would be beneficial.
