Experienced Excavator Operator – Work With a Team That Actually Has Your Back

KSM Contracting | Based in Townsville | Night and Day Shift (Mostly nights) $50- $70 per hour | Super on ALL hours

We’re a family-owned earthmoving company that’s been operating for 8 years across Queensland, working on civil, mining and domestic projects. We operate well maintained late model gear, value good operators, and believe family always comes first.

What You’ll Be Doing

Operating excavators across civil, mining & domestic projects
Completing daily pre-starts properly (not just ticking boxes)
Carrying out basic machine maintenance (greasing, air cleaners, re-fueling)
Working safely and following site-specific protocols

What We’re Looking For

Relevant tickets & licences
Strong work ethic (we notice effort)
Safety-focused mindset
Trimble GPS experience – highly regarded
HR Open Truck licence – a bonus, not essential
Not scared to get out on the ground and help out

We want operators who care about their work — clean batters, accurate trims, machines looked after like they’re your own.

What You’ll Get

$50-70 per hour minimum (negotiated on your experience)
Super paid on ALL hours worked
Steady local work – 5 days per week (occasional Saturdays)
Late-model, well-maintained equipment
Company vehicle (negotiable)
