Revenue Officer

Permanent Full Time Position, 35 hours per week
Located in Rockdale close to public transport
$74,087 - $82,977 per annum plus superannuation

The City Performance directorate underpins the delivery of service excellence by providing expertise in financial services, governance, procurement, business technology and property services. About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an autonomous individual to provide accurate, timely, compliant and transparent financial information, analysis and advice to support informed business decision making by the Executive, Leadership Team and other stakeholders.

About the role

The Revenue Officer is responsible for providing high-quality customer service and supporting the development, maintenance, and administration of Council’s revenue strategies, policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with organisational and statutory requirements.

You can also expect to:

Actively contribute to the execution of all rates and revenue activities, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
Manage accounts receivable, ensuring all accounts are invoiced and collected in a timely, accurate, and professional manner
Take proactive steps to recover outstanding debts, following Council policies and coordinating with the Council’s mercantile agent
Foster effective communication and collaboration with team members and key stakeholders to meet business unit goals, address work requests, and align with Council priorities
Play a key role in driving continuous improvements in Rates & Revenue processes within a team-oriented environment

About you

We are looking for someone who has:

Minimum Higher School Certificate or equivalent and/or relevant experience
Strong interpersonal communication, including customer service skills
Excellent ability to use technology, including computer applications

Salary Range: $74, 087 - $82, 977 pa + 12% super. Changes in salary and benefits may be changed with the adoption of the NSW LG Award conditions from 1 July, 2026.
