Business Partner People and Culture

About the role

As the Business Partner – People & Culture at Ernest Henry, you will play a critical role in partnering with leaders to support workforce planning and build an engaged and capable workforce across site.

Reporting to the Superintendent - People & Culture, you will work closely with leaders to support day-to-day matters, providing guidance on policies, processes and employee relations while driving practical outcomes. You will combine strong generalist P&C capability with a hands-on approach, supporting both operational and strategic priorities while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities for the role include:

Partnering with leaders to implement P&C strategies
Providing advice on performance management and workforce planning
Supporting employee relations and industrial relations matters
Contributing to reporting and workforce insights
Supporting onboarding, employee experience and offboarding processes
Maintaining HR systems and data accuracy
Supporting budget and workforce planning activities
Driving continuous improvement across P&C processes

About you

You are an experienced P&C professional with strong generalist capability and a passion for supporting leaders and improving workforce outcomes.You bring a practical, hands-on approach, enjoy building relationships and are comfortable working in an operational environment.

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience

Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or similar
Experience in a generalist HR or P&C role
Exposure to employee relations and enterprise agreements
Experience working in a site-based or industrial environment
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to influence and support leaders
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
