About the Division

The Academy Services Division provides a range of specialist services to teams across the Academy, to program participants (potential and current) and to external venue hire stakeholders to ensure an inclusive high-quality professional learning experience or event for our stakeholders. The Division's specialist areas include learning design, strategic engagement, and participant, event and program support.

About the Team

The Participant, Event and Program Support team will be responsible for leading a high-quality and inclusive experience for Academy program participants, guests and venue hire stakeholders.

The team will oversee the end-to-end participant journey across professional learning programs in collaboration with other teams where relevant. The team will lead the Academy's venue hire and events function, monitoring participation and venue performance to continuously improve the participant and guest experience. Further responsibilities include scheduling of programs and managing program registrations and application processes.

About the Role

This role commences December 19th 2026.

The Manager, Participant, Event and Program Support leads the teams that deliver the Academy's end-to-end participant experience, program scheduling and venue hire and events functions. This role sets direction and ensures consistent high-quality support through their leadership of a large, high-performing and multifunctional team.

The responsibilities of the Manager, Participant, Event and Program Support include:

leading the strategic design, development and continuous improvement of the Participant, Event and Program support unit
leading, managing and developing a high-performing team
leading, overseeing and providing strategic advice on the end-to-end participant journey, program scheduling, venue hire, uti lisation and participation related key performance indicators
overseeing participant, venue hire and event systems, processes, policies, tools, quality standards and delivery models
using data to drive improvements in participation and venue utilisation
building partnerships and optimise collaboration to support innovation and system-wide impact
contributing to divisional and organisational strategy and business planning
working flexibly to ensure delivery of the team and the Academy's key priorities.

Capabilities

Deep expertise in a service-oriented participant management or venue hire/ management capacity
Strong people leadership and team management in a participant management or venue hire function
Demonstrated ability to set strategy, drive improvement and deliver organisational outcomes
Highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
Ability to manage complex and interdependent priorities, continuous improvement and services
Strong problem-solving, decision-making and business acumen

Qualifications and Experience

Experience working as a people leader in a fast-paced education setting or large and complex organisation
Experience in end-to-end service delivery in a relevant field, for instance in event management, training or professional development management
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology platforms and systems, ensuring seamless integration into team workflows.
