Boori has been trading in Australia for over 30 years and we are a dynamic retail establishment dedicated to providing exceptional products and services to our valued customers. We pride ourselves on delivering unparalleled customer experiences and maintaining a vibrant, inviting atmosphere in our store.

We are on the lookout for an exceptional Sales Assistant for shifts at our Brand New Canberra store. We can offer you shifts between 10 to 24 hours a week

The position:

Job Description:
As a Casual Retail Salesperson at Boori, you will play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding customer service and driving sales. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Customer Engagement: Greeting customers warmly, assisting them with product inquiries, and providing personalized recommendations to meet their needs.
Sales Generation: Actively promoting products, upselling, and cross-selling to maximize sales opportunities.
Visual Merchandising: Ensuring the store is well-presented at all times by maintaining visual standards, organizing displays, and restocking merchandise.
Point of Sale Operations: Processing transactions accurately, handling cash, credit card transactions, and maintaining a tidy and organized checkout area.
Stock Management: Monitoring inventory levels, replenishing stock on the shop floor, and participating in stocktaking activities as required.
Adherence to Policies: Following company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and operational guidelines.

To be successful you will need:

Customer Focus: A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating positive experiences for shoppers.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills to engage effectively with customers and colleagues.
Sales Acumen: The ability to identify sales opportunities, close transactions, and achieve sales targets.
Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
Adaptability: Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and willingness to take on various tasks as needed.
Reliability: Punctuality and a strong sense of responsibility to fulfill scheduled shifts.
Computer literacy is required and an experience in either furniture or bedding retail will be highly regarded

Experience:

Previous experience in retail sales or customer service roles is essential.

Schedule:
This position is casual, offering flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by the business.
