We are looking for a Marketing Assistant who will support the Studio Manager in executing the studio's marketing, social media, community engagement, campaigns, and activations. The role is responsible for planning, creating, and delivering approved marketing activities while proactively identifying opportunities to improve engagement, community growth, and brand awareness.
⭐️ Role Responsibilities
1. Social Media & Content
- Create, schedule, and publish 3 Instagram feed posts and 3 Instagram story days per week.
- Capture, organise and edit content from classes, instructors, members, events, and studio activities.
- Maintain a content calendar and prepare content for approval at least one week in advance where possible.
- Coordinate with instructors to organise content capture when required.
- Ensure approved content is published accurately and on time.
- Plan content around upcoming studio events, promotions, milestones, instructor birthdays, and other announcements to ensure content is prepared in advance.
2. Community Management
- Monitor and respond to Instagram DMs, comments, tags, and mentions.
- Respond to general enquiries regarding classes, schedules, events, and studio information.
- Refer membership, payment, account, and customer service enquiries to the studio email where required.
- Repost tagged stories and posts, manage collaboration requests, and engage with the wider Team Pilates community.
3. Campaigns
- Identify opportunities for campaigns, collaborations, partnerships, events, challenges, and community activations.
- Develop content concepts and campaign assets following approval.
- Create campaign deliverables including social media content, in-studio posters, flyers, signage, in-app promotional graphics, and other campaign collateral as required.
- Coordinate the printing and preparation of campaign materials where required.
4. Events & Activations
- Support the promotion and marketing of studio events, workshops, challenges, and activations.
- Prepare and implement approved event signage and promotional materials.
- Assist with event setup, content capture, and pack-down when required.
5. Planning & Administration
- Attend a weekly or fortnightly 30-minute planning meeting with the Studio Manager.
- Come prepared with content drafts, recommendations, and upcoming opportunities for discussion.
- Maintain an organised content calendar and marketing asset library.
- Track upcoming marketing deadlines and ensure deliverables are prepared in advance
6. Expectations
- Maintain the studio’s brand standards, visual identity, and tone of voice across all marketing activities.
- Take ownership of day-to-day marketing execution.
- Work proactively and bring forward ideas.
- Follow approved projects through from planning to completion.
- Be responsive to feedback and willing to adapt content and deliverables as required.
- Communicate clearly regarding progress, deadlines, and support required.
⭐️ Skills & Requirements
Essential
- 1+ year of experience in social media marketing, content creation, community management, or a similar role.
- Experience in Pilates as a client, or interest in participating in classes as a client.
- Proficient in Instagram, including content publishing, community management, collaborations, and platform best practices.
- Proficient in Canva and CapCut.
- Strong written communication skills and professional online communication.
- Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Ability to receive and implement feedback effectively.
- Comfortable using cloud-based collaboration and project management platforms such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Notion, or similar tools.
- Own laptop and smartphone with a functioning camera suitable for content creation.
- Availability to attend classes, events, and activations as required for content capture and marketing support.
Desirable
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, InDesign, etc.).
- Experience with Meta Business Suite and Meta Ads Manager.
- Interest or experience in the health, fitness, wellness, or Pilates industry.
