What we are looking for:
We’re seeking a skilled Wastewater Network Coordinator to lead the planning, operation and maintenance of our wastewater network across the Fraser Coast. This role sits within a high‑performing, safety‑focused team that prides itself on reliable service delivery, strong technical capability and collaborative problem‑solving.
You’ll oversee a diverse operational program, support two Sewer Network Supervisors and a small technical team, and play a key role in ensuring our wastewater network continues to operate efficiently, safely and sustainably.
What your day will look like:
- Coordinate the planning, operation and maintenance of wastewater network assets to ensure reliable service delivery and efficient work scheduling.
- Manage planned and responsive maintenance programs, including resource allocation, after‑hours callouts and emergency response arrangements.
- Provide specialist technical advice on network operations, repairs, renewals and operational changes to minimise service disruption.
- Contribute to capital works, rehabilitation and asset replacement programs through effective planning, scheduling, procurement and delivery coordination.
- Monitor operational expenditure, support budget development and manage recoverable works and day labour resources to achieve value for money.

What you’ll need for success:
- Certificate III (AQF Level 3 or higher) in Water Industry Operations.
- General Construction Induction (White Card) or ability to obtain prior to commencement.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate planned and responsive maintenance programs for wastewater network assets.
- Strong capability in planning and coordinating work programs and projects, including analysing issues, providing solutions and prioritising competing demands.
- Proven experience supporting team performance, allocating work, coaching staff and contributing to a safe, productive and accountable team environment.
- Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence outcomes.
- Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policy and procedures to ensure compliant decision‑making, including WHS, procurement and budget responsibilities.
- Valid Class C or CA driver licence.
What’s nice to have:
- Licensed Plumber and Drainer or other relevant trade.
- Experience using asset maintenance management systems, SCADA or telemetry systems.
- Knowledge of contemporary pipeline systems, including trenchless or no‑dig technologies.
- Understanding of inflow and infiltration management.
