ONYX is expanding and we're looking for a passionate, energetic, and driven Gym Manager to join the team at one of the best gyms in Sydney!

About the role:

You'll be fundamental in driving performance, member experience, and operational excellence. You'll require a strong focus on the day-to-day running of the gym, including sales, service, member engagement, complaints and feedback, operations, facilities management, inventory management, WHS, and reporting and analytics. It acts as the most senior, expert Membership Sales Consultant, leading by example and demonstrating excellence to the wider team, continuously building the ONYX culture and community.

The key responsibilities include:

Drive overall sales performance, including prospect management, gym tours, and implementing initiatives or activities for marketing and sales promotions
Report on and provide analysis on key sales data including, KPIs, trends and overall performance, including forecasting
Maintain service standards as per Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and other service and operational requirements, including member engagement
Manage all member/customer complaints and feedback
Facilities management and inventory management.
Oversee and manage all WHS requirements, including risk assessments, incident reporting, safety inspections, and attending to any ad hoc safety matters
Meeting and greeting potential and existing members
Taking new leads on tours, showing them our amazing facilities, and speaking to them about how we can help them meet their health and fitness goals
Engaging with members on the gym floor to build rapport, provide support, and drive our community-focused culture
Championing our brand and core values.

About you:

Passion for health and fitness and the desire to help others!
Strong face-to-face and telephone sales skills
Strong stakeholder engagement, rapport and relationship-building skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Leadership skills – accountability, initiative, team building and engagement
Good problem solving and decision-making ability
Good analytical skills with sales data and gym membership metrics
Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities within tight timeframes
Self-driven and results-focused
A positive, can-do attitude, where anything is possible
Someone that loves what they do and has fun at it!

Experience and Qualifications:

2 years + experience in gym sales and service management
Experience in gym operations
Experience working with numbers, data, and analytics
Experience in gym pre-sales, B2B sales, and corporate partnerships (not essential)
