We are currently seeking a Network Support Senior Specialist to join our team in Sydney, New South Wales (AU-NSW), Australia (AU).

Mid to Senior-Level Network Operations Specialist

The Mid to Senior-Level Network Operations Specialist is a critical member of the IT Infrastructure team, responsible for overseeing the operational performance, availability, and scalability of enterprise-wide network systems. This position combines hands-on technical expertise with operational leadership to ensure the secure, reliable, and optimal delivery of networking services across data centers, branch offices, cloud environments, and remote users.

Operating at a senior technical tier, the role requires deep knowledge of networking protocols and architectures, advanced troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to guide and mentor junior team members. The ideal candidate brings a proactive mindset to monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement of network operations while contributing to architectural decisions and strategic infrastructure planning.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain complex LAN/WAN environments, including routers, switches, firewalls, SD-WAN, and wireless infrastructure.
Serve as an escalation point for high-severity incidents and conduct end-to-end root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
Lead the deployment and optimization of enterprise network monitoring tools
Implement and enforce network security best practices in collaboration with cybersecurity and compliance teams.
Coordinate and execute planned maintenance, firmware upgrades, configuration changes, and network migrations.
Analyze network capacity trends and recommend improvements to support scalability and performance optimization.
Support change management processes, including scheduled maintenance, upgrades, and network reconfigurations.
Participate in network design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions that align with business goals.
Document technical processes, develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), and mentor junior network staff.
Support incident, problem, and change management processes in accordance with ITIL standards.
