Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake cakes, and other desserts according to recipes and customer specifications
- Decorate cakes with icing, cream, and other techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation in compliance with food safety standards
- Monitor inventory and inform the manager when ingredients need to be restocked
- Collaborate with the team to create new cake designs and seasonal offerings
- Occasionally interact with customers for custom orders or consultations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a cake baker or pastry chef
- Knowledge of baking techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices
- Creative and detail-oriented with strong decorating skills
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays if needed
- Team player with good communication skills
- Culinary or pastry certification is a plus but not required
