Job Title: Baker / Pastry Chef

At Soulte, we focus on creating fresh, high-quality breads, pastries, savoury items and café-style products in a fast-paced and friendly environment. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Baker / Pastry Chef to join our team and support our expanding menu.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries and baked goods to a high standard
- Prepare items such as croissants, danishes, focaccias, pastries, savoury items and other bakery products
- Assist with developing and introducing new menu items on a monthly basis
- Maintain consistency, quality and presentation across all bakery products
- Support daily bakery and kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment
- Ensure all food is prepared in line with food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist with stock control, food preparation and maintaining a clean work area
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and management team to ensure smooth operations
- Follow recipes, production schedules and instructions from senior kitchen staff/management
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role is required
- Knowledge of breads, pastries, croissants, danishes, focaccias and savoury bakery items
- Ability to create and suggest new menu items
- Strong attention to detail and consistency in product quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including early mornings and weekends if required
