Reporting into the Service Team Leader - QLD, the new Field Service Technician will be based in region of Gladstone, QLD, and traveling regularly to regional customer sites in Gladstone, circa 4 x 1 week (away from home) trips to Central QLD, and ad hoc interstate, as and where required. You will play a key role in servicing our diverse customers by using their strong technical skills, computer competency, and ability to learn and adapt to our ever-evolving products.

Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

Maintain, repair, and test Draeger safety products;
Produce work conducted reports for customers;
Prepare detailed quotations for customers;
Maintain accurate service records;
Provide high quality service and support to our customers;
Onsite customer user and maintenance training;
Travel regularly to regional customer sites in Gladstone, Central QLD, and occasionally to other States, as required;
Apply a compliance focused mindset across all operations, and;
Always ensure a safety-first approach.

The ideal candidate will be equipped with the following attributes:

Formal qualification a maintenance trade discipline or demonstrated relevant experience;
2+ years’ post-trade experience and proven competency in a similar position;
Willingness to travel regularly to metro and regional client sites, and ad-hoc interstate;
Capacity to effectively service a range of technical safety products;
Exposure to delivering product training for a variety of users;
Experience with technical documentation and diagrams, comprehending technical problems presented by customers, and providing effective solutions;
Well versed in effectively articulating company and product information to customers;
Working knowledge of routine arithmetic calculations and pricing structures to complete quotations;
Proficient in various computer software, including Microsoft Office suite of applications;
Adaptability and readiness to handle multiple, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment;
Exemplary understanding of compliance rules, with a proactive mindset and the ability to act as a role model in upholding and promoting compliance standards;
Strong customer focus, problem solving, communication, organisational, and task management skills;
Team player with a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn, and;
Current Drivers License.

A Police Check will be required for this position.
