Akkurat Pty Ltd is an automation machinery manufacturer based in Brendale, Queensland that provides services to a vast range of industries including Oil and Gas, Renewable Energy, Coal Mining, and Coal Seam Gas. Akkurat Pty Ltd is currently seeking a full time, qualified Instrumentation Technician (Electronic Instrument Trades Worker).
The salary offered is $120,000 per annum plus superannuation.
Job duties and responsibilities include:
- Installing, modifying, maintaining, and repairing electronic instruments and control systems for clients across industries such as Oil and Gas, Renewable Energy, Coal Mining, and Coal Seam Gas.
- Examining and testing machines, equipment, instruments, and control systems to diagnose faults.
- Adjusting, repairing, and replacing worn and defective parts and wiring, and maintaining machines, equipment, and instruments.
- Reassembling, test operating and adjusting equipment.
- Advising users of correct operating procedures to prevent malfunctions.
- Receiving messages by interpreting code and converting to plain language and writing and typing messages for transmission.
- Monitoring radio traffic and transmitting and receiving voice messages.
- Installing electronic instruments and control systems.
- Applying knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles in commissioning and maintaining control systems.
- Ensuring overall electrical compliance and completing relevant documentation and checklists.
- Compliance with dossiers, FAT testing and troubleshooting, and assisting workshop and field staff.
- Abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
The applicant will have the following skills and experience:
- At least an AQF Certificate III and two years of relevant work experience, or an AQF Certificate IV.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience may substitute formal qualifications.
- Knowledge and experience in electrical and instrumentation compliance.
- Attentive to work and self-driven to solve problems.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
