Full Job Description

EDP is seeking an Environmental Consultant to join our team in Sydney.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Consultant to join our global team in Australia. The role would suit someone who has a good understanding of recognised best practices, risk management techniques and management principles, supported by a thorough appreciation of health and safety within the professional services sector. Demonstrable experience in a similar Environmental Consultant role is favourable but not necessarily required.

You will have a collaborative working style with a flexible attitude to a complex and varied workload. Responsibilities

Manage and conduct assessments of sites to determine the nature and extent of contamination, including site works as and when required;
Assess risk to human health and the environment and develop appropriate remedial strategies in collaboration with the technical teams;
Prepare accurate high-quality reports in a timely fashion;
Participate in business development activities for new and existing accounts;
Identify and track new work winning opportunities with the aim of transitioning into successful project wins;
Support existing client relationships and networks to identify opportunities and bring new business to the team;
Explore and understand our client’s businesses and challenges and to develop new approaches and new innovative solutions;
Develop detailed proposals clearly detailing the scope, methodology, fees and limitations;
Project manage and delivery on time and within budget;
Work collaboratively in a team and independently to deliver projects on time and on budget;
Deepen existing client relationships to expand business opportunities and services; and
Other related activities as required and instructed to complete to support EDP.

Experience & Qualifications

Qualifications / Training

Tertiary Qualification in science or engineering; and
Relevant training courses.

Experience

2+ years’ experience in the contaminated land industry;
All phases of contaminated land assessments, including PFAS as a contaminant of concern; and
Demonstrable success in client management and project delivery.

Skills/Knowledge

MS office packages including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
Accuracy and attention to detail;
Report writing;
Organisational skills; and
Commercial skills.
