Join the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit as an Occupational Therapist (Lvl 4) and lead the delivery of specialised rehabilitation services that make a meaningful difference in the lives of people living with acquired brain injury.

Provide expert clinical leadership in the assessment and management of patients with acquired brain injury, with a specialised focus on return-to-work and driving outcomes.
Lead, guide and support a skilled occupational therapy team, fostering clinical excellence through supervision, mentoring, education and workforce development.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, families and statewide stakeholders to deliver innovative, evidence-based rehabilitation services.
Drive service development, quality improvement and clinical research initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and shape best practice across the District.

You are a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist with a passion for neurological rehabilitation and a desire to make a lasting impact on the lives of people living with acquired brain injury. You thrive in leadership roles, enjoy mentoring others, and are committed to driving excellence in clinical practice and service delivery.

Extensive clinical expertise in neurology and rehabilitation, with the ability to manage complex presentations using advanced clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice.
A collaborative and influential communicator who can build strong relationships with patients, families, multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience leading quality improvement, service development and research initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and drive best practice.
Strong leadership, supervision and mentoring skills, with a passion for developing staff, students and allied health professionals.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities while delivering high-quality care in a dynamic clinical environment. Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Extensive advanced level of clinical knowledge and expertise of a wide range of conditions in Neurology.
Demonstrated experience in providing clinical leadership, consultation, supervision and education for staff and/or students and external parties.
Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
