Description

Nyirrunggulung Rise, located in the Northern Territory of Australia, is a joint venture creating job opportunities, providing training, and supporting social infrastructure.

Nyirrunggulung Rise was awarded the Remote Australia Employment Services (RAES) program and will deliver services within our current location.

A day in the life of a Service Coordinator can include:

Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments of participant skills, education, vocational interests, job readiness, and personal circumstances
Co-design individualised job plans and regularly review and update to reflect changes in participant circumstances, community priorities, and labour market opportunities
Provide culturally appropriate and holistic support to participants
Assist participants to access allied health, housing, financial, disability, and other wraparound services
Support participants to engage in training, employment placements, and community projects
Build strong relationships with local employers
Work with employers to support culturally safe workplaces that encourage retention of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees
Collaborate with Community Advisory Boards (CABs), community organisations, and other stakeholders to ensure service delivery reflects local priorities and aspirations
Contribute to the design and delivery of community projects that support workforce participation and skill development

Skills and Experience

Demonstrated experience in case management, employment services, or community development
Knowledge of the Remote Australia Employment Services (RAES) program
Strong understanding of referral pathways and the ability to connect participants with allied health, community, and specialist services
Proven ability to work effectively and respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families, and communities, with an understanding of culturally safe service delivery
High-level organisational, administrative, and data management skills
Competence in using employment services systems (such as ESS Web or equivalent), with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to IT and reporting requirements

To be considered you must…

Have full working rights in Australia
Have a current driver’s licence
Complete an Australia History Criminal Check
Have a current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain a Working with Children Check before employment
Ability to work Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 5:00pm
