Make an impact at Serco

As a Social Worker within the Psychological Health Services (PHS) team at Acacia Prison, you will provide psychological assessment and intervention to inmates for a broad range of presenting issues. There is a specific focus on suicide and self- harm risk assessment and crisis intervention. Psychological Health Services also provide other goal-directed, psychological interventions appropriate for a forensic population. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Wooroloo, WA.

You could be a great fit if you have:

Bachelor’s degree in social work; AND eligibility for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
Solid understanding of evidence based practices in the assessment and intervention of different psychological and behavioural presentations
Demonstrated experience in providing individual counselling, preferably within a correctional, welfare or similiar institutional environment
Proven ability to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver psychological services and programs
Exceptional report writing abilities, producing accurate and defensible documentation
