Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst – Financial Crime with 6–8 years of professional experience and strong domain expertise in the Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance (BFSI) sector.

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, compliance teams, financial crime specialists, and technology teams to understand business requirements and support the delivery of initiatives related to Financial Crime, AML, KYC, CDD, transaction monitoring, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of financial crime processes within the BFSI industry, excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills, and experience translating complex business requirements into clear functional specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Work with business and compliance stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements for Financial Crime initiatives.
Translate business needs into clear business requirements documents (BRDs), functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
Analyse existing Financial Crime processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation.
Collaborate with compliance, risk, operations, technology, and product teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and delivered.
Support initiatives related to AML, KYC, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, fraud, and regulatory compliance.
Conduct current-state and future-state process analysis and identify gaps.
Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirements-gathering sessions with key stakeholders.
Work with technical teams to clarify requirements and support solution design and implementation.
Develop process maps, workflow diagrams, data flows, and other relevant business analysis artefacts.
Support testing activities, including the preparation and review of test scenarios and UAT requirements.
Assist with defect analysis and resolution by working closely with business and technology teams.
Track requirements through the project lifecycle and ensure alignment between business objectives and delivered solutions.
Identify risks, dependencies, assumptions, and potential impacts associated with business requirements and process changes.
Support change management and implementation activities as required.

Required Skills & Experience

6–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a complex enterprise environment.
Mandatory experience within BFSI – Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance.
Proven experience working on Financial Crime, AML, KYC, Compliance, Fraud, or Risk-related initiatives.
Strong understanding of Financial Crime processes and regulatory requirements.
Experience with one or more of the following:
Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
Know Your Customer (KYC)
Customer Due Diligence (CDD/EDD)
Transaction Monitoring
Sanctions Screening
Fraud Detection/Prevention
Financial Crime Risk Management
Regulatory Compliance
Strong requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
Strong experience in process modelling and current-state/future-state analysis.
Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Desirable Skills

Experience working on Financial Crime Transformation or regulatory change programs.
Familiarity with financial crime technology platforms and solutions.
Experience working with data analysis, data mapping, or data lineage in Financial Crime projects.
Exposure to Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Experience working in large banking or financial institutions.
Relevant Business Analysis or Financial Crime certifications would be advantageous.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a Business Analyst with 6–8 years of experience, strong BFSI domain knowledge, and proven experience working on Financial Crime or regulatory compliance initiatives. They should be comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, compliance teams, and technology teams to deliver complex business and regulatory change programs.

Pay: $660.00 – $680.00 per day
