Full Job Description

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Community Services Coordinator will oversee the daily operations of the Community Hub and provide leadership to the team. This role involves collaborating with program managers, volunteers, and participants to ensure the smooth delivery of services. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for supporting individuals in group settings.

Responsibilities include

mentoring, coordinating, and supervising the team, monitoring
workload, performance, and competencies. Key areas of focus include
building team capabilities, strengthening customer relationships, and
driving improvement initiatives while assisting in the coordination and
facilitation of various group programs within the organization.

Main tasks Core objectives include: Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of

group programs, including scheduling, logistics, and
participant recruitment, collaborating with program managers.
Develop program materials, presentations, and resources for group sessions in collaboration with program managers.
Provide administrative support, including maintaining participant records, tracking program attendance, and managing program documentation.
Support program facilitators and volunteers in delivering group sessions by providing guidance, training, and resources.
Communicate regularly with program participants to provide updates, gather feedback, and address concerns.
Individual Support/Care as well as all other aspects related to Community Support and Participation.
Evaluate program effectiveness and outcomes through data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Coordinate with external partners, stakeholders, and community organizations to enhance program offerings and resources.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to program delivery and participant confidentiality.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of program policies, procedures, and protocols.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
Provide comprehensive support to the support worker team within a dynamic environment.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the NDIS and effectively communicate with individuals and families/carers.
Deliver effective programs and services in line with funding requirements and business objectives.
Maintain high standards of person-centered service provision, social inclusion, and assessment and planning principles. Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, families, and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with funding specifications and accountability.
Strengthen quality service delivery through program activities.
Monitor and respond to incidents, ensuring proper reporting mechanisms are followed.
Commit to continuous improvement and comply with WHS requirements.
Orient staff, volunteers, and students to organizational requirements.
Support and resource agreed activities, programs, and events.
Collect data, conduct surveys, and report against specifications.
Develop programs to build participant and community capacity.
Participate in planning, resourcing, and conducting Community Events.
Monitor and report issues to the Head of Operations.
Make decisions and report within agreed delegations.
Maintain good communication with staff, customers, and stakeholders.
Regularly communicate and report to the Head of Operations
Engage with the team to create a harmonious and effective workplace.
Demonstrate strong understanding of Sahara company values and provide ethical leadership.
Implement and execute initiatives, such as budgets, meal plans, and rosters.
Communicate effectively with Head of Operations, colleagues, consumers, and stakeholders.
Manage team rostering, establishment, leave, and payroll requirements in collaboration with Operations Rostering Coordinator.
Work at least 1 weekend in a fortnight as per client's requirement.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, human services, healthcare administration, or a related discipline or diploma or certificate in community services, disability support, aged care, or a related field.

Experience Minimum 2 years of disability support services experience,

ideally in a community services setting.

Relevant experience in a similar role or industry highly preferred.
